Description

The Federal OSHA 10-Hour Construction trains on important topics of occupational safety and health hazards. Taught by authorized Federal OSHA Outreach Trainers, this 10-hour training program provides instruction on Federal OSHA standards and requirements as they apply to the construction industry, and teaches safety awareness, which assists workers in recognizing and reducing the risks of construction site and industrial hazards on the job site. This safety training outreach course is required by many Federal and State jurisdictions in order to work on construction and industrial sites. Upon completion, participants will receive a course completion card.

This course is intended to provide an entry level construction worker general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. The training covers a variety of construction safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter on the job. Federal OSHA recommends this training as an orientation to occupational health and safety. Workers must receive additional training on hazards specific to their work. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention.
