Description
This Northern California Asbestos Supervisor Initial 40 Hour course meets the AHERA training requirement for Asbestos Contractor/Supervisors. Students will review, in detail, EPA, OSHA and California regulations which apply to asbestos work. The topics covered in detail are: the history and uses of asbestos, health effects, protective equipment, work practices, inspections, safety, and more. In addition to the minimum EPA requirements, students will cover issues of current and enduring importance in the field of asbestos contracting and supervision. Instructors take the time to cover topics of importance to individual students. In-depth coverage of important issues allows students to go back to their work places with the skills to answer questions as they arise. The course includes timely updates and is presented in ways that challenge the students to gain a deeper and continuing knowledge of the topics that affect their jobs. NATEC utilizes the finest equipment and state-of-the-art hands on training to ensure successful work site application of the course information.

ABIH Credits: 5.0 CM.
Prerequisites: None
Certificate of Completion: A certificate documenting Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor (Competent Person) Initial training is awarded to each student who attends the course and passes the required written exam. Full attendance is mandatory.
NOTE: This course does NOT qualify for A/C Pipe Certification.
