Hours: 16 Hours+

Description

  • Module I: Inspections

    Classroom (4 hours): Load charts, basic crane theory, crane regulations as per Federal OSHA 1926.550 and ANSI B30.

    Field Training (12 hours): Hands-on training: Walk around inspections, daily inspections, proper wire rope revving on blocks and sheaves.
  • Module II: Assembly

    Classroom (4 hours): Proper operation of crane draw works, boom and jib assembly.

    Field Training (12 hours): Hands-on training: Basic boom assembly, draw works, oiling, jib assembly.
  • Module III: Set-up

    Classroom (4 hours): Setting up the crane, setting up the outriggers, oiler responsibility.

    Field Training (12 hours): Hands-on training: Setting up the crane for a maximum pick, setting up outriggers, working radius, oiler operation.
  • Module IV: Driving and Responding

    Classroom (4 hours): Oiler training, responding to hands signals from the operator.

    Field Training (12 hours): Hands-on training: Driving backwards with a load, responding tp operator signals.
  • Module V: Long Boom Assembly

    Classroom (4 hours): Long boom assembly counter weight, front counter weight.

    Field Training (12 hours): Hands-on training: Long boom assembly for high picks, oiler responsibility, front counter weight assembly.
