The Flagger Certification Training by NATEC International, Inc., is specifically designed to prepare individuals for the critical role of a traffic control flagger. It covers standard flagger control references, flagging signal procedures, and best practices for various situations, culminating in the issuance of a NATEC Flagger Certification card upon successful completion.

This training emphasizes compliance with the MUTCD and relevant standards, preparing flaggers to navigate diverse traffic control scenarios effectively.

Key Responsibilities of a Flagger:   

  • Controlling traffic flow around construction zones using signs and hand signals. 
  • Alerting motorists to detours and important traffic-related information. 
  • Complying with and directing traffic according to traffic cones and construction signs, including “Road Work Ahead” and “Road Closed” signs. 
  • Coordination and effective communication with other flaggers and construction workers to ensure the safety of all parties. 
  • Recording of reckless driving
