Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the mastery of the rules of the road, and the basic mechanics of driving defensively. The topics include Defensive Driving Course, Coaching the Mature Driver, Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving, and more. This course will address reducing the risk of dangerous situations, despite adverse conditions or mistakes of others.
Target Audience:
This course is designed to teach the student about defensive driving skills and the risk associated with driving. It includes practical safety training with hands-on, behind-the-wheel skill assessments.
Course Objectives:
The student will be introduced to the technical and informational course materials provided by NATEC International, Inc. The student shall demonstrate the retention of course materials by class discussions, activities, worksheets, homework, quizzes & exams, and manipulative skills. The Regulations for this course is California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 8, Section 3203.
