Bucket Truck Train-the-Trainer (In-Person, 2-Day Program)

This 2-day, in-person course equips qualified operators with the tools, techniques, and OSHA-aligned curriculum to deliver engaging, compliant, and effective training at your organization—while ensuring confidence in their ability to instruct others with professionalism and authority.


Who This Course Is For:

  • Experienced bucket truck operators (minimum 3 years’ experience required)
  • Foremen, safety managers, or EH&S professionals seeking internal training capability
  • Employers ready to reduce liability, increase workforce safety, and build internal capacity

Prerequisites (Required to Attend):

  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience operating a bucket truck
  • A current Fall Protection Authorized User certification (or higher)
    (Must be valid at time of training and issued by a reputable provider)

Course Highlights:

Day 1 – Teaching the Bucket Truck Operator Course

  • How to deliver a full-day operator training using best practices Title 8 §§ 2940.7 & 3638
  • Review of aerial lift classifications, safe operation procedures, hazard recognition, inspections, and emergency response
  • Instructional strategies to keep sessions interactive, relevant, and retention-focused

Day 2 – Practical Trainer Evaluation

  • Students actively teach back sections of the course to demonstrate instructional competency, including bucket truck operator evaluation
  • Peer and instructor feedback designed to sharpen presentation skills and ensure compliance with adult learning standards
  • Final trainer competency assessment and certification

Client-Site Requirements:

To provide a realistic and effective training environment, the following must be supplied by the client:

  • A well-maintained, inspected, and operational bucket truck
  • Operator Manual
  • A training site free from electrical lines, pedestrian traffic, and hazardous obstructions
  • A location that allows for safe hands-on demonstrations and operation
