DOT HAZMAT Ground Shipper Recurrent Training: Online, In Person, or Virtual

Keep your hazmat team current

DOT hazmat employees must take refresher training on a regular schedule, and falling behind puts your people, your shipments, and your compliance record at risk. NATEC International, Inc. makes recurrent training simple, with online, in-person, and live virtual options available nationwide.

Watch our short overview of the DOT HAZMAT Ground Shipper Recurrent course:

Who needs recurrent training, and how often

Under 49 CFR 172.704, hazmat employees must receive recurrent training at least once every three years. A hazmat employee is anyone whose job affects the safe transport of hazardous materials, such as people who prepare, load, handle, or ship them.

If your team ships hazardous materials by ground, a recurrent course keeps their knowledge current as rules and procedures change. Employers are responsible for making sure the training is completed and documented.

Three ways to train with NATEC

Choose the format that fits your schedule and your team:

  • Online: complete the course on your own time, from any location with an internet connection.
  • In person: train alongside an instructor in a classroom setting.
  • Live virtual: join a live instructor-led class from your office or home.
