Tesla Motors Workers Burned, Cal-OSHA Continues Investigation

Cal-OSHA has continued it’s investigation into the burned workers at the San Francisco Bay Tesla Motors factory. Three employees suffered burns after a casting press filled with hot aluminum failed. Two of the employees only suffered minor injuries while one had serious injuries, according to Greg Siggins, a spokesman for the California Occupational Safety and Health Adminstration (OSHA).

The investigation continues into whether or not a violation of code was the cause of this horrific event.

“We will be talking to any witnesses, reviewing training documents and manuals to see if they are in accordance with specifications as part of finding out what happened,” Siggins said.

The other important aspect to the story is how the company will take care of its injured workers.

Elon Musk, CEO & CTO of SpaceX and CEO & Chief Product Architect of Tesla Motors, said in an email he would visit the workers and “personally ensure that they receive the best possible care.”

All of this comes in the wake of a number of Tesla car fires being reported in Washington, Tennessee and Mexico.
