Fall Protection Authorized User Certification

Hours: 4-6 Hours

NATEC’s Fall Protection Certification Training for the Authorized User is tailored for individuals working at height. This course offers an awareness of the issues involved with fall protection. A focus on the best practices in fall protection and the need to protect workers at height highlights this informative training course. Participants are introduced to the legislation governing fall protection as well as the components of a fall protection system including body support, anchorages, and connectors.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will receive a certificate acknowledging they have met or exceeded OSHA, ANSI and CalOSHA requirements (for California based students) as an Authorized Person.

Authorized Person Training Topics discussed:

• Local governing regulations relating to fall protection

• Traditional fall protection (e.g. handrails, guardrails, etc.)

• Fall restraint systems

• Fall arrest systems (including anchors, body support, connecting components and the importance of a rescue plan)
