On average, 15 workers die every day from job injuries. 5,600 Americans die from workplace injuries annually and over 4 million non-fatal workplace injuries and illnesses are reported. Despite OSHA’s impact on worker safety and health, significant hazards and unsafe work conditions still exist in the United States.

These injuries and fatalities levy direct and indirect costs totaling from $145 billion to $290 billion dollars per year. Understanding both your rights as an employer and an employee can mitigate these potential costs, injuries and fatalities. Since OSHA’s creation, it has provided workers with the right to a healthy and safe workplace. The OSHA Outreach Construction Training program provides instruction on Federal OSHA standards and requirements applicable to the construction industry. This includes but is not limited to a variety of construction safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter on the job.

Understanding the regulations involved with worker safety allows employers and employees to limit and prevent occupational hazards. These regulations create the foundation that companies must abide by to ensure that their employees remain safe and healthy within the workplace.

NATEC offers both Federal OSHA 10-Hour Construction Outreach Training and Federal OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Training. Classes are now enrolling for the months of October and November.
